Chef’s Tips

  • Customize Your Seafood: Add scallops, lobster, or even chunks of white fish for variety.
  • Vegetable Boost: Stir in diced carrots, corn, or mushrooms for added texture and nutrition.
  • Don’t Stir the Topping: For the perfect biscuit crust, evenly spread the biscuit mix on top and resist the urge to mix it into the filling.

The directions don’t include when to add the soup/broth mixture.

    1. You are absolutely right. I reviewed my notes and added it. Thank you for catching that and I am sorry if it messed up your recipe.

If I used frozen broccoli instead of peas would the broccoli overcook? An hour is a long time for broccoli.

      1. I agree an hour is a long for broccoli. Did you happen to try it with broccoli? I would love to hear how it turned out.

  2. Nikki Faktor says:

Cooked shrimp? Won’t that overcook it?

    1. Hi Nikki,
With all the moisture in the dish it does not. It warms it, but doesn’t actually cook it to were it gets rubbery. (yuk!)

  3. Laura Hewitt says:

Man, this sure did smell good when I took it out of the oven but the flavor fell flat. The biscuit mix tasted nothing like like the biscuit you get at Red Lobster, rather bland. wasn’t impressed with dish at all. Won’t be making this again.
