Immune Boosting Elderberry Syrup
My husband and I woke up on our last day in Mexico and I felt that familiar tingle in my throat. I chalked it up as a small chest cold forming, but once I was back in the states, I knew I straight up had the flu. Bones aching, fever spiking, cold sweats and all. I was laid out for days, with my house all a mess and three wild kids running rampant. Totally not my style, but what can you do when sleep is the only thing your capable of. Of course, 2 out of 3 rabid children got sick as well. I was totally caught off gaurd by this round of flu season, school didn’t even start yet! Also, I hadn’t even stalked up on my normal “back to school” holistic remedies. I was scrambling. Everyone’s feeling better, but this flu had our house down for a solid 10 days, and I am not willing to go through it a second round. So today, I’m back in the kitchen for some prep work! Elderberry syrup is a delicious, and packed with nutrients that will naturally boost your immune system. It contains antioxidants, vit C, vit A, and acts as an anti-inflammatory.
