- 2/3 cup of dried elderberry
- 3 cups of water
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 inch of fresh ginger sliced
- 1/2 tsp ground clove
- 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup of raw unfiltered, organic honey
Bring water, elderberries, cinnamon sticks, ginger, and clove spice to a rapid boil.
Reduce to a simmer, uncovered. Allow the liquid to be reduced by half, about 45 min.
Strain liquid with a cheesecloth, discarding the elderberries and spices.
Add honey and apple cider vinegar, stir, and store in the fridge for up to three months.
