Lox and Bagel Platter

Lox and bagels is an easy no cook breakfast or brunch platter that is packed full of all the good stuff! With two flavors of cream cheese and lots of fixings, the possibilities are endless!

Equipment

  • Small bowls
  • Sharp bread knife
  • Butter knives

Ingredients
  

  • 6 assorted bagels
  • 12 oz smoked salmon
  • cucumber sliced thin
  • 6 fried eggs
  • capers
  • 2 jalapeño
  • heirloom tomatoes
  • broccoli sprouts
  • pickles
  • sauerkraut
  • avocado
  • fresh dill
  • fresh cilantro
  • lemon wedges
  • seafood dip

Chive cream cheese

  • 1 8 oz package of cream cheese
  • 3 tbsp chives finely chopped

Jalapeño and cilantro cream cheese

  • 1 8 oz package of cream cheese
  • 1 jalapeño finely chopped, seeds and ribs removed
  • 2 tbsp cilantro

Instructions
 

  • Slice the bagels in half and toast them. Arrange everything on a large platter, placing the cream cheese, sauerkraut, capers, and seafood dip in small bowls. Arrange the vegetables and fixings so they are easy to reach and grab.

Chive cream cheese

  • Cut the cream cheese into blocks. Mash the blocks with a fork.
  • Finely chop the chives, then mix into the cream cheese. If you have time, cover the cream cheese and let it sit in the fridge overnight to let the flavor develop.

Jalapeño cilantro cream cheese

  • Cut the cream cheese into blocks. Mash the blocks with a fork.
  • Finely chop the jalapeño. If you do not liek spicy flavors, remove all the seeds and ribs and discard. Finely chop the cilantro, and add the cilantro and jalapeño to the cream cheese. Stir to combine. Store in the fridge overnight to allow the flavor to develop, or serve immediatly.
