Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb broccolini (2 bunches) bottom 1/2 inch of stems removed
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic coursely chopped
  • 1 lemon zested, cut into wedges for garnish
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup water

Optional

  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Sautè the broccolini. Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add the olive oil once the pan is hot, then place the broccolini in the pan in a single layer. Sautè the broccolini on each side for 3 minutes. Add the garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and lemon zest and sautè for 2 more minutes.
  • Steam the broccolini. Add the water to the pan, then cover and cook for 1-2 minutes (2 minutes for more tender stems). Remove the pan from the stove.
  • Serve. Plate the broccolini and top it with your preferred additional ingredients like more pepper flakes, parmesan cheese, or salt. Mangia!
